The Mountain Warehouse Changing Tides collection was created in collaboration with BAFTA-winning British explorer, naturalist and TV presenter; Steve Backshall. Inspired by the great ocean, and Steve’s close connection to sharks, it combines his love for sea creatures with his passion for working towards a more environmentally friendly world. The collection has something for the whole family, featuring adults and kids’ items for outdoor adventures and trips to the coast, such as hoodies, tee’s, jackets, rash vests and shorts.
Steve has designed the range with his favourite sea creatures in mind. The hero print, which is featured widely across the range, is inspired by the majestic whale shark.
Another exciting sea animal featured includes the beautiful but deadly blue ringed octopus, and many more such as lionfish, orcas, a seahorse, turtles and humpback whales. You can read about all the sea creatures featured in the collection here.
The fabric used in this collection contains REPREVE® Our Ocean® fibre, which is made from recycled ocean-bound plastic bottles. This not only helps stop waste ending up in our ocean but emits fewer greenhouse gases and conserves water and energy in the process, making a big difference to our future. By using responsibly sourced materials, this collection aims to leave and to minimise the effects of climate change on our ocean, preventing the rise of sea level and changing tides.
