If you follow Mountain Warehouse on social media you’ll have already seen that we started talking about our partnership with Geocaching a few weeks ago and we are excited to announce that the campaign is officially LIVE! To help you get started we’ve put together a few questions and answers to make the campaign a little clearer.
Geocaching is quite simple the world’s largest treasure hunt. You navigate yourself around using GPS through your mobile phone to seek out the “geocaches” or “caches” at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world.
We have released three animal trackables to help you on your Geocaching journey. Meryl Sheep, Moose Willis and Jimmy Talon are free to pick up in all Mountain Warehouse stores around the world.
Once you have picked up your trackable from one of our stores, simply download the Geocaching app to sign up and activate it. Then you’re ready to go!
Make sure to log your find online, and sign the log book inside the cache. Many people often trade nick-nacks from inside, leaving something behind for the next people who come along. There are 2 million caches worldwide, and they come in all different shapes, sizes and difficulties.
No way, we’re not finished yet! Mountain Warehouse will also be giving Geocachers the chance to win some amazing prizes. Adult Geocaching – 2 flights anywhere in the world Junior Geocaching – a family day out for four and not only that but 6 runners up will win £100 worth of Mountain Warehouse goodies.
Entering the competition is very simple. Post a selfie of you and your trackable in the most adventurous location/situation on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest using the hashtags #mwgeotrail #contest.
The Mountain Warehouse Geocaching campaign will run from the 13th June – 1st September 2017, and winners will be announced on the 4th September 2017. Full terms and conditions can be found here
