Mountain Warehouse does not condone the mistreatment or suffering of animals and align with the World Organisation of Animal Health’s (OIE) Global Animal Welfare Strategy.

Mountain Warehouse only uses feathers and down from humanely treated birds. All our feather and down is a by-product of the food industry that would otherwise go to waste.
We have a consolidated group of feather and down product suppliers who ensure they are ethically sourcing from farms with good animal husbandry, which is defined by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) as the 5 freedoms:
- Freedom from hunger and thirst
- Freedom from discomfort
- Freedom from pain, injury or disease
- Freedom to express normal behaviour
- Freedom from fear and distress

We do not use real fur. We conduct stringent checks on all off our faux fur fabrics to ensure they are indeed faux. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that they understand our requirements and how to identify faux fur.
The Leather used in our products is from humanely treated and slaughtered animals that is a by-product of the food industry. We do not use animal skins from exotic or endangered species, wild caught animals or farms/ slaughterhouses using unethical practices.
We do not use wool from farms that practice Mulesing. Our wool is sourced ethically to ensure the animals are humanely treated from farms with good animal husbandry.
We do not support animal testing and therefore do not knowingly acquire any products from suppliers that have carried out this practice.
