This time of year is perfect to get out and about on in the lighter evenings. We have rounded up a few of our top picks for getting outside after 6pm
Walks
Walks are a great way to spend a light evening. Some of us are fortunate enough to be able to walk home from work, but for those who aren’t, why not pop down to your local park for a couple of hours in the evening. Evening walks are great for helping you wind down after a busy day at work and can be a lovely way to spend some quality time with friends and family during the week.
Cycling
Cycling can be a lovely way to explore your local area during the lighter evenings. If you’re feeling a little adventurous then why not head further afield and explore a new park, canal or beach front.
Gardening
Regardless of whether you have green fingers or you are a first time gardener, spending some time outside in the garden can be very therapeutic. This is a great way to get some Vitamin D and get started on that vegetable patch you’ve always wanted.
Picnic/BBQ
Who doesn’t love a picnic or BBQ? It’s a huge part of everyone’s summer activities, so why not make the most of the light evening and dine al fresco. Pack the picnic bag up and head down to the local park to enjoy an evening in the sun.
Beach fun
Some of us are lucky to live close to a beach. If this is you, enjoy it! Wander down to the beach after work and lap up the sea breeze. Your pup will certainly thrilled with a trip to the beach. Why not combine two British favourites and have a picnic on the beach.
