A. The main difference between a ski jacket and a snowboard jacket is the fit. Snowboard jackets are a lot looser than ski jackets and tend to be longer in length. The extra length helps keep you warmer when you are sitting in the snow strapping your board on. Ski jackets will often be a bit more fitted as you do not need quite as much movement skiing as you do snowboarding. As both are designed for winter sports, there is no reason why you couldn’t wear a ski jacket snowboarding and visa versa.
